Job Title: Information Communications Technology (ICT) Analyst

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
ICT Administration and Support
- Provide inductions to all staff on the computer system at the Institute, including the use of all relevant software packages and when new software/hardware is introduced.
- Provide clear and accessible (jargon-free) ICT advice and information to the Institute’s senior managers in order to meet their needs and to guide strategic and operational decision-making of the Institute’s Leadership, Senior Management and managers.
- Provide support and guidance to managers and staff across all locations on a full range of operational ICT issues.
- Manage the acquisition, installation and maintenance of the organization’s local area network hardware/software.
- Manage network operations to include troubleshooting connectivity problems; adding/terminating users; assigning rights and access; resetting passwords; establishing e-mail addresses; assessing and reporting operational status.
- Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures, information security and control structures.
- Design, develop and maintain web-based applications including websites and intranets. Continuously improve the organization's website and Intranet; adds new functionality and ensure user friendliness.
- Assist the Institute’s staff in understanding and using technology.
- Ensure networks, workstations, operating systems and software applications are operational; ensure hardware and software is patched and/or updated; ensure all broadband circuits are operational in accordance with vendor specifications.
- Manage ICT vendors and ensure adherence to agreed SLAs.
- Responsible for taking stock of incoming and outgoing IT assets as purchased from vendors and allocated to staff. The stock is recorded in bin cards and excel sheets as the assets are being received, allocated and/or reallocated and discarded.
- Provide support for the Institute Virtual Learning Hub (VLH) programmes.
- Provide website/portal maintenance for the Institute's official website and portal. This may include creating of new pages, editing existing pages, uploading and updating contents (as approved by the CMC department), avoiding downtime, creating and editing users among others.
- Provide ICT support for the Institute High-Profile Events (Annual National Conference, Induction Ceremonies, Special Human Resources Forum, Human Resources Best Practice Awards among others).
- Responsible for Virtual Meetings (via Zoom or MS Teams) set-up and management. Ensure proper management of meeting dates and time to avoid clashes.
- Responsible for maintaining work tools allocated to staff, ensuring they are in good working condition and give adequate advice on purchase, repairs and/or replacements where necessary.
- Provide ICT support to all departments of the Institute in terms setting up of virtual meetings, rendering IT assistance to their departmental functions and events etc.
